Luckily for us, LA-based mother, Nicole, invited ESSENCE in to show how she and her daughter, Sydney, incorporate self-love, and self-care, into their morning routine. Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is the focal point while they sit for breakfast and turn on the new Disney show featuring a brown-skinned superhero with curly hair!
Lunella Lafayette, aka Moon Girl, is Marvel’s first Black teen Super Heroine in the Marvel uUniverse with brains to boot! Lunella is a STEM Scholar using her intelligence to create gadgets and protect the people of her community with the help of her partner and best friend at her side, Devil Dinosaur. Under all the crime-fighting and chemical compounds, a young Black girl discovers herself in a challenging universe that sometimes feels unfair.
